Our Range of Swing Gates

Swing gates are gates which are hinged on pillars or posts at either side of an entrance and can be installed to open inward or outward. Swing gates may be automated using a below ground or above ground system. The common preference is to use below ground operators as these are in effect “hidden” beneath the gates. Every NEAT gate is pre-prepared for simple below ground automation now or in the future. It is greatly preferred that swing gates will open into the property and the majority of gate will be in pairs. Two-leaf systems have the effect of halving the area into which each gate leaf opens, thereby limiting intrusion and generally speed up the operation of the system. Consideration has to be given to the gate approach, access control and certain safety aspects especially when automated.  

Most Gates That Swing Towards The Property Are Suitable:

  • Residential and Commercial properties
  • Where there is enough room between the entrance and the property to accommodate the fully-open gate leaf(s)
  • Where there is enough room to clear the fully-open gates if negotiating any sharp curve in the drive
  • Where the ground over which the gates will swing is sufficiently level to avoid contact with the bottom of the gates (or drops lower as the gates open)

Most Gates That Swing Away the Property Are Suitable:

  •  On Residential and Commercial sites which require/desire decorative design
  • Where there is enough room between the entrance and the property to accommodate the fully-open gate leaf(s)
  • Where there is enough room to clear the fully-open leaf(s) whilst negotiating a sharp curve in the drive
  • Where the ground over which the gates will swing is sufficiently level to avoid contact with the bottom of the gates (or drops lower as the gates open)
